We donate 3% of our earnings to AMAN to support AMAN’s special task force to help with the Covid-19 measurements.
Regarding the Response to Covid-19, AMAN has formed the AMANKANCOVID-19 task force at the National, Regional (Provincial) and Regional levels. Some of what AMAN has done includes: - Production and distribution of masks, hand washing stations, hand sanitizers, disinfectant sprayers and a campaign against Covid-19. - Producing traditional medicines - Collaborating with the medical team in the village (puskesmas) by providing PPE support - Currently indigenous peoples are strengthening their food through the Food Sovereignty Movement
AMAN stands for Aliansi Masyarakat Adat Nusantara, the Indigenous Peoples’ Alliance of the Archipelago. AMAN is a representative organisation that consists of a Central Governing Body with 20 Regional/Provincial Chapters, 99 Local Chapters, 3 Wing Organizations representing Youth, Women and Lawyers, and 4 Autonomous Bodies. AMAN represents 15 million individuals from 2,230 indigenous communities across Indonesia.
